The Expand Papahānaumokuākea coalition is asking President Obama to expand Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument (PMNM) from 50 nautical miles to the 200 nautical mile limit of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands exclusive economic zone (EEZ) with exception for the waters surrounding the islands of Ni‘ihau and Kaua‘i, as well as two weather buoys used by local fishers. Gum Design worked with local community to develop the website hub that serves as a collection of information, voices, and petition.
